Coalition aircrews have been tasked with striking Balad Southeast (ORBD) in preparation for the ground invasion of Iraq by the coalition's ground forces. The strike flight, launched out of CVN-75 USS Harry S. Truman, will consist of F-14Bs loaded with standard unguided Bombcat payload (2x2x4 plus tanks, 2 AIM-9s, 2 AIM-7s and 4 Mk.83s plus tanks). The significant opposition the flight could face also calls for a CAP and a SEAD flight (both flying out of King Fahd Intl. (OEDF)), to take out any SAMs activated or MiGs scrambled by the Iraqis. All flights will perform AAR prior to entering Iraq. More info to come or to be found on Discord.
